The Young and the Restless star Doug Davidson has updated his fans on his Genoa City comeback. After spending the last several months off screen, Genoa City Police Chief Paul Williams is coming back! Unfortunately, it won’t be right away. The actor says that fans will have to wait just a little bit longer for his much-anticipated homecoming.

Stating it as an exciting ‘news flash,’ the veteran daytime television actor wrote, “Because of the preemption last week, my first air show has been delayed one day to March 26th! I know the suspense is killing you! So, I’ll give you a line from that first episode back!! “ Interesting that’s your focus.” Will that hold you over?”

Apparently, the suspense is truly too much for some of Paul’s fans to handle! As a matter of fact, many of them expressed just how sad they were that they had to wait a little longer to see Paul back in Genoa City. Others are holding on to the edge of their seats until it happens.

Several of Doug’s Twitter followers commented on his tweet with, “Doug, I have never been so excited about waiting for something to happen. You are part of our family. We have missed you so much. Finally something good in our life is about to happen. March 26th!!”

Another fan said, “I am so freaking excited for this day!! We cannot wait for you to take that office back.”

Now as far as what’s in store for Paul Williams, fans will have to wait and see. Doug promises that there will be plenty of action and excitement. We’ve got our fingers crossed!
