‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Ava and Laura Face Hard Truths, Cameron Eats Crow Over Franco Accusations – ABC Teases Port Charles Miracle
Ava is stinking drunk (can we blame her?) and still kind of in denial over the whole Kevin Collins/Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) switch. She’s demanding to see Kevin, when Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) hears her from his room and waves her in to talk. She gets snippy with him, asking if he wants to kill her, too, but Franco brushes it off. He can tell she’s completely plastered and obviously feels some pity for her. He sits and lets her unload on him a bit, until she slowly seems to accept the truth. Then, he basically gives her a shoulder to cry on as she tries to deal with the fact this guy who supposedly loved her slept with her only hours after killing her daughter. And dang. Now we’re going to have to go full-on Not-Kevin hate, because how dare he makes us feel bad for her? She’s leaving a little later when she comes across the real Kevin.

Meanwhile, Laura has been visiting the real Kevin, who’s thrilled to be going home after his ordeal and the surgery. He’s also thrilled to be able to see Laura’s face again, something that got him through a lot of rough days. She’s feeling the same, but she’s confused still. She wants to know how this all came about exactly. Kevin admits that he found out last year that his brother had been working for the DVX and was considered more of a liability than an asset at this point. He basically agreed to treat Ryan, who was so bad off, he couldn’t even communicate properly. He treated his brother for months before the switch happened, which Kevin feels guilty over—he let Ryan lull him into a false sense of security. Laura is shocked by this, and now angry at Kevin. She’s completely devastated that Kevin didn’t share this with her, and that it led to deaths and suffering. Oops. Looks like the real Kevin won’t be getting a grand welcome-home party…
Now that the truth has come out, Cameron accompanies Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) to Franco’s room and apologizes for thinking the worst of him. Not only that, he really admires him for going head-to-head with a serial killer and coming out alive. Will this help Franco get back in Elizabeth’s good graces? We’ll see. What we do know, is the press is all over the hospital apparently asking about the hero who helped get the truth.
Valeria Spencer (Brytni Sarpy) had agreed to attend a Dawn of Day event with Kristina, and was clearly not impressed. She has a luke-warm reaction, at best, to Kristina replaying some of it with a big smile. She wants to know what’s up with her so-so reaction. Valerie tries to be nice, but eventually tells Kristina exactly what she thinks: Shiloh (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) is a con, and he’s taking advantage. Kristina, like any good cult member, gets upset and goes on about how Shiloh is the most selfless person she knows. Valerie disagrees, and decides to leave rather than keep on fighting. She came to hang with her friend, but she doesn’t really recognize her now.
Meanwhile, Shlioh and Harmony (Inga Cadrane) are duking it out a bit over her coming to Port Charles when we see she’s got a similar tattoo on her back as the one Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) spotted on Daisy’s (Kelsey Wang) back. This seems to suggest that there are certain ones he has a… closer relationship with.
Elsewhere, Sam is telling Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) all about this, as well as Kristina’s loan to take more classes. As far as she’s concerned, Kristina’s just getting in deeper and deeper, and she needs to get some concrete proof against Shiloh to get her out of there.
