The Young and the Restless Recap: Summer Gets Tested
It all begins in the courtroom as Sharon (Sharon Case), Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) are hoping that Michael (Christian LeBlanc) and Brittany (Laura Woodland) can take down Christine (Lauralee Bell). She’s not playing any games. The odds are stacked against them, seeing how Christine is using Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) as the star witness. Also, Michael complains that the ladies haven’t given him much to work with. Nikki insists that they stick to their original story. She is also worried that there might be more to come.

Outside of the courtroom, Billy (Jason Thompson) confronts Christine. He tries to sway her. The powerhouse attorney explains to him that once you kill someone, your life will never be the same again. Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) arrives at the courthouse, much to Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) dismay. When the court proceedings continue, Mariah (Camryn Grimes) is called to the stand. Christine asks her questions about what happened the night JT Hellstrom died. She also asks Mariah how she came across the video tape. Unfortunately, she doesn’t get much information out of Mariah. Michael then cross-examines her and asks her again about the video tape.
Over at the club, Ana and Devon go over budgets and numbers. Ana is concerned about Devon’s mental well-being. He tells her that visiting Lola at the hospital brings back difficult memories from when Hilary died. Devon still has anxiety. Kyle then comes over and tells them that Lola is in desperate need of a liver donor. Devon and Ana waste no time to head to the hospital to get tested.
At the hospital Ana suggests to Devon that they should start dating, but he says he’s not ready yet. He also tells her that there’s no one that will ever replace Hilary for him. Summer then appears to take a blood test. She says that she wants to help Lola. Unfortunately, Kyle isn’t happy to see her and Summer senses that he doesn’t want her to be there. Nate intervenes and tells Kyle that the more people that get tested, the better chance of someone helping Lola. Both Ana and Devon’s test results come in and unfortunately, they aren’t a match for Lola, however, they promise to get the word out in Genoa City.
