The Bold and the Beautiful star Annika Noelle is opening up about playing Hope and having to deal with all of her character’s emotions and her heartbreak. Hope lost her baby, but little does she know that Dr. Reese Buckingham had actually given her daughter Beth up for adoption. Little Beth is now Phoebe and is living with her new mother, Steffy, and her sister, Kelly.
The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Annika Noelle Opens Up About Hope’s Grief
According to Annika, filming some of Hope’s scenes haven’t been easy as she’s never seen her character in such a dark place before. Yes, she lost a baby while she was still with Wyatt, but she’s going through a much more difficult grieving process the second time around.

Annika told Soaps in Depth in an interview, “Keep in mind that we weren’t really present to see how she originally grieved the loss of her first child [with Wyatt]. It was devastating to the point where she had to leave the country. Now, this second loss — where she held the child that she’d felt kicking only hours before — is in her every thought every second of the day.”
In addition, Hope seems to be pushing her husband Liam away. She insists that she’s the third wheel in her own marriage and believes that Liam is better off with Steffy and her girls. Of course, this might be Hope’s way of dealing with her pain. That, or she might be trying to erase the past by erasing everyone else who was in it.
For Annika, she knows that there are certain things Hope must overcome before things get better. The actress continued, “She’s really going through the seven stages of grief. Some days she’s angry. Other days she’s in denial. There will be times when she feels an overwhelming sadness and other times where she’s just numb. Right now, she doesn’t even know what she’s feeling.”
