‘General Hospital’ spoilers relate that Franco Baldwin’s (Roger Howarth) arrest is delayed, there’s more investigation into Dawn of Day (DoD), and Griffin Munro (Matt Cohen) might be in for a very bad day. In case you missed the General Hospital spoilers for Friday, get caught up on the highlights in today’s General Hospital.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: February 8 Recap – No Railroading Allowed
Scotty Baldwin (Kin Shriner) is determined to keep the eager cops in Port Charles from railroading his kid. He shows up at the station today with an injunction to release Franco to the hospital so he can get an MRI to make sure he doesn’t have another brain tumor, like the one that caused his previous killing spree. It’s really just a stalling tactic, which he makes clear to both Franco and Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst). He’s sure Franco is fine and the case is bull, so he’s trying to avoid them charging him for as long as possible.

Franco, meanwhile, is terrified to go through with the MRI, because he doesn’t want to find out that maybe he is ill again and just doesn’t remember committing the crimes. Elizabeth is positive all will be fine, and assures him her faith in him will be enough for both. Elizabeth leaves with Scotty a minute to check on the test, and they find out it’ll be hours before a reluctant Griffin can perform the procedure. As far as Griffin is concerned, there are people who need the test more. Scotty’s cool with that.
While they’re busy, Ava Jerome (Maura West) comes along and she and Franco talk about his arrest. She still doesn’t believe he could have done this. And we’re wondering why the cop on duty didn’t seem to see fit to keep the murder suspect away from the possibly vengeful victim’s mother, but this is soap law enforcement we’re talking about.
Related to the case, Jordan Ashford (Vinessa Antoine) and Margaux Dawson (Elizabeth Henderickson) are discussing the situation and Jordan has a few doubts. She thinks the whole thing is too easy, and we’re inclined to agree. Afterall, during the scene where Scotty was presenting the injunction, they pointed out that whoever the killer was has planted evidence against others before. Jordan had claimed the evidence wasn’t as sloppy this time, and we’re thinking, “Well, duh. Why wouldn’t the killer who’s trying to frame others get more careful as time goes on?”
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Dawn of a New Lead
Damian Spinelli is still on the case, and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard) are anxious to learn more. Turns out that Shiloh’s (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) story all checks out. There is something new, however. He’s managed to find a Dawn of Day member who’s not in town… someone who could possibly shed some more light on Shiloh and his intentions.
Related to this, Sonny has a meal with Kristina Davis (Lexi Ainsworth) and stresses the importance of family. He’s good. While this might look like an attack on her new family at Dawn of Day, he spins it as the product of his recent decision to send his father to a home. He also stresses how he sees how happy she is, and he’s glad for that. Awesome balancing act, Sonny.
In more related news, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) is at the Dawn of Day house executing her plan. She’s kind of combative, expressing displeasure that apparently all of her dirty secrets have been spilled to him by her sister before slowly softening enough to agree to go to the big Valentine’s Day event. Hmm. Holiday. Event. Word is being spread all over. This doesn’t sound good to us, given what’s happened at others of late…
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Griffin’s in Trouble
Not-Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) wasn’t thrilled to see Griffin hugging his Ava. He approaches Griffin at a blood donation spot and starts grilling him about the hug. The scene is actually pretty cool, with Not-Kevin being creepy as usual before telling Griffin, “You’re next.” He, of course, points to the nurse getting ready for her next donor.
Later on, he approaches Griffin to apologize for earlier and make a proposal. Seems he and a couple of the other doctors want to get a memorial brick for Kiki, and he wants Griffin’s help. He leads Griffin onto the roof, to where he says is the perfect spot to see the area and pick just the right one for Kiki. Yeah, this is not going to be good. Despite Not-Kevin’s seeming descent into (more) madness, he has enough wits about him to realize this one would have to look like an accident—or suicide.
Also today… Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) meets a guy (Joe Flannigan) while out pre-therapy session and they banter a bit before she says it wouldn’t be a good idea for them to dinner because she’s got some issues still to work through. It turns out to be a good idea, because she finds out this guy is her new therapist, Neil.
