The ‘Young and the Restless’ star Eric Braeden opens up about the California Wildfires with CBS. In this emotionally charged interview Braden, who portrays Victor Newman on the hit CBS soap, relates his personal experience with the wildfire.
Braeden and his wife were visiting their granddaughter in Malibu when he got whiff of the wind being very strong. After his granddaughter, Tatiana, had put the horse back in the stall, they all had dinner together. On his way back home, he noticed the wind being particularly strong. In typical Braeden fashion, he exclaims “Lo and behold, that’s when it all started”.
As recently reported by Daily Soap Dish, Braeden’s co-star on The ‘Young and the Restless’ Tracey Bregman’s house was completely destroyed in the fires. Bregman also appeared on an interview where she was visibly shaken. Her house was the least of her worries in that interview, and the actress exclaimed how thankful she is to just be alive. This is a crazy state of affairs that’s affecting way too many people.
The 2018 California wildfires are the worst wildfires in history, and have destroyed so many houses and affected so many lives already. Braeden talks about multiple other people that have also lost their houses and belongings. We here at Daily Soap Dish are glad to hear that Braeden, his family as well as his friends are safe.
We know that the death toll has been rising, as has the missing persons list. Our prayers and wishes are with the victims and those affected by this incredible tragedy. Support the Fire Victim Fund to help victims of the California Wildfires.
